I’m James Price, a New Zealand photographer and digital creative who has a passion for monochrome imagery.
Black and white documentary photography has always been home for me. It’s where the noise fades and the truth comes through, light, shadow, emotion, and honesty. No gimmicks. No filters. Just life as it is.
I grew up under big skies and around quiet paddocks, the kind of place that teaches you to slow down and really see. Eighteen years later, I’ve shot, studied, and worked my way through both sides of the craft, from traditional photography to digital media, design, and AI-enhanced creativity. I use Adobe Creative Suite and a hands-on, no-nonsense approach to create work that feels raw, grounded, and true.
My clients are the real deal, men and women who know quality when they see it. The kind who respect skill, patience, and straight talk. You might build engines, run a crew, or ride something with two wheels and a heartbeat. You don’t want buzzwords or excuses, you want authentic visuals that speak for themselves.
If that sounds like you, we’ll get on fine.
Whether it’s a portrait, a brand project, or a piece of digital storytelling, I’ll bring the same focus I’ve always had, honest work, built to last.
My Qualifications include...
Diploma in Art & Creativity (Advanced) - Level 7
New Zealand Diploma in Creativity - Levels 5 and 6
New Zealand Diploma in Digital Media & Design - Level 5
National Diploma in Design (Graphic) - Level 5
